Questions about finding a local web designer
Straight answers about cost, privacy, how we vet designers, and which businesses we work with (all of them).
No phone number needed. We only email you.
Cost and commitment
The short version: asking is free, and you’re never locked in.
Does it cost anything to ask for a quote?
No. It’s free for business owners. You don’t pay to post your project, and you don’t pay us anything to be introduced.
Do I have to hire the designer you introduce?
No. If the fit isn’t right, tell us and we’ll keep looking, or simply walk away. There’s no obligation.
What should I put as my budget?
Your honest number, or “not sure yet”. We use it to filter designers, not to upsell you. A small budget is fine. It just changes who’s the right fit.
How fast will I hear back?
Within 24 hours, by email. Finding and vetting the right designer can take a little longer for unusual projects, and we’ll tell you if it does.
Spam, calls and your privacy
This is why most people come to us. Read our privacy policy for the details.
Will I get flooded with calls like on lead sites?
No. Lead sites sell your request to many designers at once, so they all contact you. We don’t sell requests. Your details come to us, and you hear from us by email.
Why don’t you ask for my phone number?
Because we don’t need it. Everything we do happens by email, at your pace. You choose when to talk to the designer we introduce.
Who sees my details?
We do. When we introduce you to the designer we’ve chosen, they get what they need to quote your project. Nobody else does.
How many emails will I get?
A couple: one when we’ve found your designer and one with the introduction. If we need to clarify something about your project, we’ll ask in a reply.
How we choose designers
The full process is on how it works.
How do you vet web designers?
We check that they’re local to you, that their portfolio includes sites like yours, and that their quote fits your budget. And we interview them about your project before you ever speak to them.
Why start in my neighborhood?
Because a nearby designer can meet you, knows your customers, and has a local reputation to protect. We widen the search only when the right fit is further out.
What if I want a designer somewhere specific, or don’t care where they are?
Tell us in the form. Your preference always beats our default search.
Which cities do you cover?
We’re building out pages across New York State. See every city we cover. If yours isn’t listed, use the form anyway and we’ll start where you are.
Unusual and regulated businesses
Short answer: yes, we’ll find you a designer.
Do you work with cannabis dispensaries and CBD brands?
Yes. We look for designers who already build for licensed cannabis businesses and understand things like age gates and the marketing rules that come with the license.
What about sexual health and adult wellness products?
Yes. Plenty of designers won’t touch these, and plenty of good ones will. We find the ones who do it well, including the payment and platform rules that apply to your products.
My business is genuinely weird. Is that a problem?
Not even slightly. Professional cuddlers, restaurants for dogs, novelty shops, rage rooms: bring it on. The stranger the brief, the more it matters that someone vets the designer first.
Do you do ecommerce, blogs and affiliate sites too?
Yes. Online shops, blogs, affiliate sites, membership sites, portfolios and service-area sites for trades like plumbers and roofers. If it’s a website, we’ll find you someone.
Still have a question?
Ask it in the form, or send it through our contact page. We’ll reply by email.
